Gabriel and three other family members were killed when their automobile left the road and overturned. The accident occured on I-81 neal Salem Virginia.

Mr. Gabriel J. Castillo, of Dalton departed this life Monday morning, May 28, 2007, in Virginia from injuries sustained in an automobile accident along with his wife, Blanca E. Castillo, his son, Herber G. Castillo, and grandson, Javier E. Castillo. Gabriel was born May 29, 1956, in El Salvador, a son of the late Jesus Salvador Torres and Maria Feliz Castillo. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jose Salvador Torres. Gabriel was employed at Shaw Industries and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.He is survived by his son, Gabriel Castillo Jr.; daughter, Bessy Castillo, both of Dalton; brothers, Pedro Torres, Miguel Angel Torres, Manuel Torres, Juan Francisco Torres, all of Dalton; sisters, Blanca Rosa Castillo, Maria de los Angeles Torres, Reyna Isabel Torres and Hilda Cecilia Torres, all of El Salvador; grandchildren, Jose Martinez, Herber Gamil Castillo Jr. and Alondra Castillo, all of Dalton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning, June 4, 2007, at 10 a.m. from the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Jesus David Trujillo-Luna officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Little Prospect Memorial Gardens.
