Death: Nov. 27, 1924

Daughter of Albert Claus and Matilda Joy Lindholm Frisk

On Sep 1, 1900 she was united in marriage with Elias Toliver Bellamy. To this union 12 children were born.

After the marriage they farmed not far from her Mother and the home she was born and raised in.

In 1913 they put their farm up for sale, where 2 sons and 4 daughters were born. At the edge of their garden they buried one of those sons who died at or shortly after birth in 1912, and planted a yellow rose bush over his grave. When the farm sold (almost right away), they were going to move to Little Wigwam, near Proctor, but they had to delay a bit because Anna was almost due to deliever a child, so they put up a large 3 room tent in her mother's backyard awaiting the birth of the child who was another daughter born May 19th. Two weeks later, they then moved using covered wagons.

Within 2 years they moved to the area of Proctor, where 4 more daugthers were born, living about 20 miles out of Versailles on a farm. (Their farm and the town or area of Proctor are now under Lake of the Ozarks).

In 1923 many people in the area were dying from some sort of illness, and the Dr. was very busy, Anna wrote in a letter to her son, who was in Kansas working in the wheat harvest, warning him to be careful, but never said what the illness was. Sometime around then she herself began being ill. In Aug of 1924 she had Edward Avis (she had hoped for a boy and loved the name Edward), she wrote to her son again who was havesting, that the doctor sure did have her on a lot of medicine. Not long after that, the Doctor told Elias, that she didn't have long to live, and make her remaining days happy. When he asked her if there was anything she wanted she told him that she wanted to move to town so our chidren can get more education. So in early November of 1924 they moved to Verseillas. Which pleased her, especially since there was a High School as well. By then her son was home, and her mother had been sent for, with one brother coming as well. Her children, husband, mother and brother Ralph were with her when she passed away just before noon Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, 1924, at the age of 41, as she was talking to her mother, about how the kids needed new shoes, when she passed suddenly. Leaving behind her husband and 11 children rangeing in ages from 23 years to 3 months old.

I have not ever found out her cause of death, in writings from her children, no one ever says. I have not found a death certificate, but her niece Vera Frisk Dodd, who was raised by Anna's mother (also her Grandmother), once told one of her nieces Dawna Frisk Bouchard (my sister), that what ever her illness was, it must of caused damage to her heart, and the cause of her death was conjestive heart failure.

I am trying to link her children to her. Those not linked so far, since do not know place of burial or may still be living are:

Pollyanna "Jean" Bellamy Holland Joiner (1915-1988)
Ethel Irene Bellamy Moke Buckle (1917-1992)
Edward "Avis" Bellamy Waddell (1924-)
