I know little of this Grand Uncle.
He married Mary as he was getting ready to go to war in Jan of 1918. Their daughter born to them Hazel Avis died from pneumonia at at few months old and he never got to hold or see her.
He was always a farmer and provided well for his family. At one point he had my father (Ray Edward) living with them as a child (son of Alvin) who's mother had died when he was 6. He wanted dad to remain with them as their child, but didn't come to be.
He and Mary had been married for 69 years when he passed, and they had a total of 11 chidren. 8 girls and 3 boys. All listed with their mother.
