Blanche Leet Behrens, 92, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, December 09, 2006. She was born March 28, 1914 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Keller and Maude Leet.
Blanche lived in Aurora all of her life and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She loved all animals and music. She sang in choirs and also at weddings and funerals. Blanche graduated from West Aurora High School class of 1933 and from Illinois Wesleyan. She had many jobs during her lifetime, but most of them were in sales as she was blessed with the gift of gab.
Survivors include her son, Henry (Christie) Behrens and their children Katy, Jackie and Alison, all of Oswego, daughter, Judy (Phillip) Whitt of Aurora and their children Jon Whitt of Chicago and Ann Whitt of Aurora and son Barry (Laura) Behrens of Sugar Grove and their children Shelley (Tim) Remsen of Maple Park and Mike Behrens of Sugar Grove. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Mary (Morsch) Leifheit, Dorothy Morrill, Carol Leet and Lois (Jack) Snyder and a brother-in-law Edwin (Gerry) Behrens and many nieces and nephews.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Behrens, a brother John A. Leet, brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester (Evelyn) Behrens, Herbert (Ruth) Behrens, Ruth (Carl) Schmidt, Alma (Lester) Hansen and Selma (Fred) Monkemeyer.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 16, 2006 from 11 AM until the service hour of 1 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora. Rev. Calvin Marcum will officiate. Interment will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
