MRS. CRESSIE L. BROWN
Mrs. Cressie Leona Brown, 90, of 1439 Garfield St. in Brownsville, died Thursday afternoon at Retama Manor Nursing Home here. She was born Jan. 5, 1880, in Nachusa, Lee County, Ill.
She is survived by her husband, Charley A. Brown, two daughters: Mrs. Florence "Dixie" David of Galena Park, Tex., and Mrs. Verna Vidal of Pasadena, Tex.; seven grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one sister Mrs. Ada E. Haenitsch, of Dixon, Ill.
From the place of her birth, Mrs. Brown moved to Ostrander, Minn. and later attended Mt. Morris College in Mt. Morris, Ill. She married her husband 61 years ago on Dec. 31, 1908.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in the Darling-Mouser Chapel with Rev. Harold Brukhardt officiating. Burial will follow in Buena Vista Burial Park.
Friends are directing their memorials to the Duke Palmer Lunch Fund, at the suggestion of the family.
