Millstone Woman Dies At Seco Shortly After Brother's Funeral
Mary Kiser, Millstone housewife, died at the residence of Johnny Fulton, Seco, shortly after returning from the funeral of her brother, Dewey Webb, at the Mayking Regular Baptist Church Saturday. Mrs. Kiser complained of a headache and had stopped at Magistrate Fulton's residence to witness a trial which was to take place that afternoon after she had returned from the Nelph Webb Cemetery where her brother was buried. She died about 5 o'clock in the afternoon and cause of death was given as a heart condition the preceding Monday. A housewife, Mrs. Kiser was the wife of Elzie Kiser, of Millstone, and the daughter of Miles M. and Minerva Polly Webb, natives of Kentucky. Besides her husband, Mrs. Kiser is survived by nine children; PFC Leslie Kiser, US Army, stationed in Germany, Marie Sturgill, Poung, Va.; Nannie Lou, Alpha Mae, Ruby Joyce, Doris Ann, Juda Sue, and Anna Ruth at home. Services for Mrs. Kiser were held at the Thornton Gap Church and burial was in the Kiser Cemetery at Sandlick Gap, Isom and Bill Sparks, Andy Bates, T.R. Collier, Tilden Wright and others officiating. Craft Funeral Home is in charge of both bodies.
