Mary Lane Herrera Soyland, 63, passed away Monday, December 27, 2004. She was born June 30, 1941 in Townsend, Georgia to Willie Edward and Pearline (nee King) Padgett. She was raised in South Carolina and resided in Jacksonville, Florida since 1959.

Mary Padgett Herrera married Bjorn David Soyland,Sr. on March 21, 1998. She was a warm, thoughtful, outgoing wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she was survived by her children, Otto Edward Herrera (Jennifer L.), Elizabeth D. "Lisa" (Joseph Robert "Joey") Kerr , Deborah Luisa "Debbie" Herrera & Bjorn David Soyland, Jr.; stepchildren, Kristina Squires & Erling Soyland and 12 grandchildren.

Family received friends from 6-8 PM Monday, January 3, 2005 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 South Edgewood Avenue,Jacksonville, Florida.
Services were held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial followed in Riverside Memorial Park.
