OBITUARY - Arnold H. Kaiser
Arnold H. Kaiser, a longtime Long Island, Kansas resident, passed away Saturday morning, September 9, 2000, at the Phillips County Retirement Center at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 6 days.
He was born on November 2, 1905 in Phillips County, Kansas the son of Christian and Emma (Worlen) Kaiser. Mr. Kaiser was a farmer. He had served on the Long Island Cemetery Board for several years. Arnold also enjoyed hunting.
His marriage to Anna Georgia Colby was on February 21, 1931 at the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stuttgart, Kansas. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons. David P. Kaiser and wife, Lois of Hartford, South Dakota, Frank E. Kaiser and wife Pauline of Long Island, Kansas, and John H. Kaiser of Holdrege, Nebraska; a daughter, Alta M. Rhoades of Hoyt, Kansas; a sister, Irene Zillinger of Phillipsburg, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brother and 2 sisters. Arnold will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
The Family of Arnold Kaiser sincerely appreciates the kind expressions of sympathy at the time of their loved ones death. The cards, calls, floral tributes, memorial gifts, food brought in, and all the other thoughtful gestures of love and caring were so helpful
and comforting.
