Victoria L. Schaff, 57, of 1039 The Terrace, Hagerstown, died Friday, March 8, 2002, at her home.

Born Oct. 23, 1944, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Victor Armon Vaughn of Falls Church, Va., and the late Rae Wagner Potter Vaughn.

She was a 1962 graduate of York Town High School in Arlington, Va.; and a 1985 graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., receiving a degree in political science.

She was vice president of external affairs at Allegheny Energy.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She was a member of the board of directors of Y-Me of the Cumberland Valley, and a member of the American Association of University Women.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 37 years, W. Lindsay Schaff; two sons, Victor L. Schaff of Charlottesville, Va., and Terrance R. Schaff of Arlington; one sister, Allison Kelly of Fredericksburg, Va.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. Valerie T. Wills will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 101 E. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, MD 21740; or Nature Conservancy of Washington, Ellsworth Creek Project, 217 Pine St., Suite 1100, Seattle, WA 98101.
