He was born January 25, 1917 to Lee and Priscilla Williams Olsen. He was educated in Spanish Fork; he herded sheep, worked on farms, and was in the CC Corps. He worked at Geneva Steel as an electrician and after he retired he served many years in the Provo Temple.
Bud married Helen Brewerton on October 4, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was the father of four children. Helen died May 25, 1996.
Bud had a unique personality and a quick wit. He loved hard work, pizza, and the barn.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen, daughter Diane, brothers Dallas and Dell, and sister Verl.
Survivors include daughters Karma Baum and Sherry Harrison, son Lant B. Olsen, sisters Leone Rutledge and Carol Warren. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. in the Spanish Fork Sixth Ward Chapel, 585 North Main Street, Spanish Fork. There will be a viewing held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the Church that same day.
Interment will be held in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
