CPT Bensberg was 6 weeks into his 3rd tour in Vietnam serving as an Army interogator when he was killed in Hau Nghia Provience. 1st Platoon, A Company, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army. Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall: Panel 24W, Line 114. CPT Bensberg was included in the cover article of the June 27, 1969 edition of LIFE magazine entitled "The Faces of the American Dead in Vietnam: One Week's Toll."
