Jenette Moe of Prosser, age 90, entered into rest May 3. She was born on December 29, 1918, the daughter of Mary and Peter VanDenBerg, and wife of Raymond Moe.

Jenette was a caring, determined and wise woman who had a tremendous effect on those whose lives she touched. She had an active life and enjoyed seeing her family and grandkids and attending her family reunions every couple of years in Montana and Idaho.

Jenette raised her family and worked in apple orchards in Yakima and Selah in the 1940s. She worked in packing houses. Her most recent and last activity was volunteering her time for Jubilee's thrift shop. She really enjoyed picking out Christmas presents for her kids and grandchildren all year, and of course always sending her famous fudge to each one.

Jenette married Fred Burger in South Dakota in 1938. She had three children; Jack, Bill and Donna. The marriage ended in the early fifties.

Jenette married Raymond Moe in Lewiston, Idaho. They had one daughter, Joella, joining Ray's daughter, Linetta.

She is preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

Jenette is survived by her loving husband Raymond; daughter Joella Armendariz and her husband, Fernando, of Grandview; step-daughter Linetta Feathering and husband, Pete, of Carson City, Nevada; Jack Burger and wife, Eileen, from Prosser; Bill Burger and wife Linda, from Prosser; and Donna Pederson and husband, Bob, from Kennewick. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and her siblings, Elizabeth, Carlena and Peter Jr.

She will be missed by all. There will be no services. A family gathering is planned at a later date this month.

Our thanks to the caring staff of long-term care at Prosser Memorial Hospital and the Prosser Funeral Home.
