Geraldine "Gerry" Hazel Nesmith, 66, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center.
Geraldine was born on November 17, 1934 in Manhattan, Montana to George and Elizabeth (Verwolf) Randall. On August 15, 1952 she married Kenneth Nesmith in Wapato. They shared many dreams and accomplishments together. Gerry was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She loved to crochet, make clothing and work in her garden. In her younger years she enjoyed water skiing, riding horses and chasing cows. One of Gerry's greatest loves was camping and family gatherings. She was always willing to help out and enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren.
Grandma we will miss you!
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Nesmith of White Swan; two sons, Michael (Rita) Nesmith of Selah and Jim (Rose) Nesmith of Sunnyside; three daughters, Cheryl (Ron) Miller and Elizabeth (Mike) Moran, both of Yakima and Diane (Clayton) Beaman of Selah; two brothers, Alvin Randall of Moses Lake, Wash., and Marvin (Naomi) Randall of Lewiston, Idaho; a sister, Patricia (Gary) Lousburg of Naches; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services to be held at Terrace Heights Memorial Park on Friday, April 27, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a family gathering/potluck at the Selah Civic Center at 1:00 p.m. following the service. The family suggests that memorial in Gerry's honor can be made to the National Diabetes Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Valley Hills Funeral Home, Zillah.
