Fred D. Bellinger, 78, died at 8 o'clock last night at his home on th
e Leo road in Cedar Creek township. He had been ill several months. Mr. Bellinger was born in South Bend, but had lived in Cedar Creek township for the past 31 years. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the United Brethren church. His wife, Mary, died 10 years ago. Mr. Bellinger is survived by four daughters, Edna Hess, Myrtle Fitzgerald,and Anna Hursh, all of Fort Wayne, and Vida Chester of St. Joseph township; six sons, Frank of Kalwaska, Mich., Andrew of Cedar Creek township, George of DeKalb county, Henry of Fort Wayne, Asa of Orland, and Wilbur of Bridgeport, Conn.; one sister, Mrs. Anna Lowe of Bridgeport,Conn.; 31 grandchildren and 1? great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Mungovan & Son mortuary, and will be returned to the residence at a time to be announced later. Friends are asked to omit flowers.
