Beverly Mae Atkinson, 75, of Caldwell, died at home Tuesday, August 24, 1999. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 28, 1999, at the Middleton L.D.S. Church at Middleton, ID, conducted by Bishop Valencia. Internment was in the Middleton Cemetery.
Beverly was born March 31, 1924, at Soda Springs, ID to Burdick and Lula Thirkill Barnard. She was reared and educated in Soda Springs, graduating valedictorian of her class. She moved to Boise, ID in 1968, where she worked for Governor Cecil Andrus for several years. She married Carl Atkinson, August 28, 1979, in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple and has lived in the Caldwell, ID since that time. She was a member of the Middleton L.D.S. Church, a Relief Society teacher and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her house.
She is survived by her husband, Carl, of Caldwell, ID; a sister, Betty Lou and Chad Anderson of Boise; children, Dick and Irene Hines of Newberg, OR, Judy and Ed Caffarelli of Idaho Falls, ID, Shari Robinson of West Yellowstone; step-children, Eva Mae and Tom Law of Middleton, ID, Lawrence and Nancy Atkinson of Caldwell,ID, Gary and Edna Atkinson of Caldwell, ID, Carolyn and Kevin Capson of Clinton, UT, Rose Marie Atkinson of Boise, ID and Lloyd Atkinson of Caldwell, ID; 30 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
