Lillian Poynton Heeding, age 92, former Salt Lake City resident, died July 2, 1988 in Idaho Falls Convescelent Center. Born April 6, 1896, Chester, England, to Richard Ernest and Alice Edith Hall Poynton. Married Herbert Carl Johanson Heeding, Sept 20,1916 in Salt Lake City. He died April 21, 1963. Member LDS Church. Gave over 25 years volunteer work with Service Star at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Servived by two sons: William Carl Heeding, of Idaho Falls and Paul Heeding, of Sandy. 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister (Cyril Poynton, and Dorothy Teuber. Funeral Services will be Saturday July 9 at 1 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary 260 E South Temple

I can still remember great grandma's accent from England and the box full of toys she always kept hidden in the closet in her apartment for the kids. She spent her later years in Idaho Falls living with Uncle Bill and his son Jimmy. Both of whom took great care of her until she needed to be placed in a home.
