She was born April 2, 1928, in Tagus, ND, the daughter of Christopher and Lydia (Schwede) Hansen. She was reared and educated in Tagus.
She married Roy Bruhn on June 9, 1945, in Palermo, ND. Eletha and Roy lived in various locations all over North Dakota while Roy was employed with the railroad. Eletha worked as a volunteer for the Salvation Army in Minot for many years. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Minot.
Eletha loved fishing, playing bingo, crocheting and attending the rodeo.
Survivors: daughter, Edith Goettle (Leon), Donnybrook, ND; granddaughter, Allison Courneya and her friend, Jay Holgerson; great grandson, Matt and Kyle Courneya, all of Williston; sisters, Vera Nelsen and Mildred Fiest, both Minot; brothers Melvin and Clayton Hansen, both of Rochester, MN; sisters-in-law, Martha Bruhn, Minot, Ethel Stave, Westhope and Florence Johnson (Chester), Palermo; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Bruhn (Darlene), Palermo and Gilbert Bruhn (Mary), Wolf Point, MT; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Richard, sister Elaine Logan and brothers, Richard and David Hansen.
Funeral Service: Friday, February 7, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot
Visitation: Thursday, February 6, 2003 from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Friday.
Eletha has now gone home to join her Lord.
