Uncle Parker was a breeder bird who was the father of many beautiful babies. He learned to squawk like a dog barking and was a friendly, gentle bird.
When he was seven, he retired from breeding and went to live with his niece, Cornelia and nephew, Blueberry . They were the offspring of his brother, Spot.
After Blueberry's passing, Uncle Parker moved in with Cornelia. The two of them got along very well and became good friends. He always seemed to be content and I believe he truly enjoyed his retirement. He had other birds for companionship and he was always happy, singing and hopping around to check on what everyone else was doing. He would watch with his beautiful wide-open eyes and join in the chatter.
He became quieter as he aged but still managed a few song sessions every day. He became suddenly ill and died within the day.
Parker loved to watch wild birds, bark like a dog, and sing. He will be missed.
