Tommy Williams was born with an artistic eye and the gift of wit. When people remember Tommy, they probably first recall his laugh. No matter what the situation, he had the ability to see the humor in it.
Tommy was the son of Edith and the late Thomas B. Williams. He graduated from Morganton High School and went on to attend Western Piedmont Community College, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and the Art Institue of New York City. Tommy was a U.S. Navy Corpsman and went on to a career in health care as a physician's assistant. He lived in New York City, and was an active Episcopalian.
Tommy Williams died at Lennox Hill Hospital after battling leukemia. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Linda Marie Williams.
Services were held at Grace Episcopal Church in Morganton with the Rev. Bruce Walker and the Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Bland officiating.

You would no doubt crack a joke about this turkey, but I'm leaving it here just the same. Thinking of you this Thanksgiving; remembering our school days and the way you & C. & J. could always find a humorous note in the worst of things!|
