Lucille Boucher, 67, of Crookston, Minnesota, died early Thursday afternoon, March 19, 2009, in the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Lucille was born in Crookston on August 22, 1941, the daughter of Louis and Yvonne (Brault) Amiot. She grew up in Gentilly, Minnesota where she attended school. Lucille later lived with her Aunt Henrietta and helped clean house and baby-sit. In the early 1980's, Lucille received her G.E.D. On January 28, 1961, Lucille was united in marriage to Valerian Boucher at the St. Anne's Catholic Church in Crookston. She worked as a housekeeper and sold Avon for many years. Lucille loved spending time with her family, especially time spent at the lake. She also enjoyed working in her garden and raising flowers. Lucille enjoyed baking and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to many. Blessed be the memory of Lucille Boucher.
Loving family members include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dan and Libby Boucher of Crookston, MN, Douglas Boucher of East Grand Forks, MN, and Larry and Teena Boucher of Ft. Myers, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Andy Thomas of Crookston; ten grandchildren, Megan, Josh and Ashely Thomas, Andrew, Charlie, Josh, Jarrin and Jarame Boucher, Brittney Carson and Caitlyn Ek; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette and Gary Stengl of Angus, MN and June and Del Scholler of Grand Forks, ND; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Yvonne Amiot; and a daughter, Tammy.
The memorial service for Lucille Boucher will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 23, 2009 in the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Crookston, with Rev. Steve Bohler, officiating. There will be a visitation with the family for one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home.
