Edison G. Bailey, 42, of Rogersville, apparently was killed when his pickup truck plunged over an embankment on Tarpine Valley Road near Rogersville around midnight Saturday.
Bailey was a carpenter foreman at Castle Brothers Construction Co. in Kingsport.
He is survived by his widow, Mable Bailey of Rogersville; three daughters, Mrs. Sue Rogers, Miss Sheila Bailey, both of Phoenix, AR, Miss Shirley Bailey, Port Clinton, OH; two step-sons, Pfc. Gale R. Jones of Fort Hood, TX, Gary Jones of Rogersville; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Bailey of Church Hill; one sister, Mrs. Herman Arnold of Church Hill; two brothers, August Bailey, Hyattsville, MD, Norman Bailey of Torrence, CA; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday at Goshen Valley Church of God. Rev. J.B. Chapman and Rev. Herman Christian officiating.
Burial will be in the Goshen Valley Cemetery. Joseph Rogers Post of VFW will be in charge of the military honors at the graveside.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Tuesday at the Colboch-Price Funeral Home. The body will be removed to the church one hour before the services.
