Moses married Julia Mariah LeBarron on Aug 6, 1863 in Joliet, Will Co, Illinois. They had five children, Dudley, Charlotte, Frank, Mary, and Fred.
Moses was a veteran of the Civil War. He enlisted as a Private in Co G 100th Illinois Infantry and was discharged for disability on Mar 27, 1863. He served with the 11th Illinois Cavalry in an unassigned company. On Mar 31, 1865 he re-enlisted in Will Co, Illinois, as a Private and mustered in Co E 5th Illinois Cavalry on Apr 3, 1865. Moses mustered out of service Oct 27, 1865 at Springfield, IL.
Moses died at the age of 67 years 6 months 27 days.
