| Birth: | unknown | | Death: | unknown | Cyrus Eaton, History of Thomaston, Rockland, and South Thomaston, Maine, vol. II, (Hallowell, 1865; reprinted by Courier-Gazette, Inc., 1972), p. 352, gives Job's birthdate as April 21, 1762. In his application for a pension, dated 8 August 1832, Job states that he was born in Georgetown in the year 1766. (File S17015, Mass. Perry, Job) There has also been confusion about Job's parentage. Eaton listed Job's parents as Job Perry and his third wife Abigail Ford of Marshfield, MA, and named others of their children born there. However, a review of Plymouth Co., MA records shows that these documents pertain to a JOSEPH Perry of Marshfield and Scituate, not a Job. (In fact, I find no Job Perry in the area.) Further, the migration of Joseph and Abigail up the coast to Owl's Head can be documented. Finally, Plymouth County Deeds 180:136 settles the matter conclusively. Eaton lists the children of Job and wife Mary Jordan Perry as Israel Jorden, Betsey, Robert, Ezekiel, Harriot, Job, Susan, Mary, Samuel and Joshua. The ancestry of Job Perry's mother, Abigail Ford, can be traced back to Richard Warren of the Mayflower. Family links: Spouse: Mary Jordan Perry (____ - 1833)* Children: Susan J.
