She was born July 13, 1926, in Alden Township, the daughter of Knud and Magda (Floen) Rygh. She married Eugene W. Smith on March 10, 1951, in Harvard.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Ken (Connie) Smith of Belvidere, Robert and Terry Smith, both of Capron; two daughters, Beverly (Gene Burke) Smith of Capron, Connie (Roy) Dresser of Garden Prairie; one brother, Donal (Lois) Rygh of Texas; and 11 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; two brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sanders and McFarlin Funeral Home, Ltd., 107 W. Sumner St,. Harvard. Rev. Teresa Schlub will officiate. Burial will be at Capron Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
