Captain Tindall was from Seaford, Delaware.
He was the pilot of a F-84E Thunderjet fighter with the 310th Fighter-Bomber Squadron, 58th Fighter-Bomber Group.
On July 11, 1952, while on a combat mission near Pyongyang, North Korea, his aircraft received a direct hit by anti-aircraft fire during a target run and augured into the ground. He was listed as "Missing In Action" and was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. He was awarded a Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters and a Purple Heart.
