Evelyn Pearl McCarley Arnold, Born 6 June 1918 to Joseph Cooper and Zedye Price McCarley in Douglasville, GA, Evelyn Pearl McCarley Arnold went home to be with her Lord 15 December 2008 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claiborne Maurice Arnold; brothers, Joseph Paul McCarley (Clara) and Price Yates McCarley (Helen); and sisters, Mary Emily McCarley Tillery (Harvey) and Jean Marie McCarley Brown (Bill).
She is survived by her son, David Maurice Arnold (Shirley) of Upatoi, GA; daughters, Betty Arnold Zeitz (Karl) of Shelby, AL and Patricia Arnold Plymale of Odenville, AL and granddaughter Jennifer Robin Plymale, also of Odenville.
She grew up and married in Columbus, GA, later moving to Pine Mountain Valley, GA and finally resided almost 30 years in Homewood (Birmingham), AL, near her daughters. She was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church; an active church worker all her life, and devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, writing many inspired poems that were published in church bulletins, etc.
