He was wounded in action August 2, 1864 near Atlanta, Georgia and was dischaged on October 4, 1864 at Rome, Georgia.
After service in the GAR, he moved to Neodisha, Kansas, then Red Bluff, California, finaly to Red Bank, California where he died.
