The funeral of Robert Wallace yesterday afternon, was the largest attended of any ever held. It represented all the leading business and professional men in the borough. Many from Meriden, who had intimate business relations with the deceased, and nearly every one of the employees of his factory, the Wallace Hose company and the warden of the borough, his colleagues on the board of burgesses. The services were conducted by Rev. C. H. Dickinson and the burial was in the Center Street cemetery.

New Haven Register 1/5/1892
The will of Robert Wallace was read at his home yesterday afternoon to his heirs. It was a surprise to most of them. It is understood that the bulk of his estate, consisting of a majority of the stock of R. Wallace & Sons Manufacturing company, is so fixed that it cannot be sold or otherwise disposed and fixing so far as he could its management in the future. It will probated some day this week.
