John J. Bradshaw, 73, died at his home in Oak Harbor.
He spent 20 years of his life serving his country in the U.S. Air Force, entering from Portland, Oregon and retiring from Seattle. He then had a second career with Prudential-Bache in Bellevue where he stayed for another 20 years before finally retiring.
In 1983, John met and married Lois Ellison while working in Bellvue. He loved to travel and especially camp. The couple went from a small camper to a much larger motor home over the years.
In 1990, John and Lois moved to Whidbey Island.
Survivors include the children from his first marrige, David, Mark, Kate, Dianna, Carrie, and Chris; two stepdaughters, Dinan (Ray) Benecke of Renton and Lynne (Pat) Lang of Anacortes; sister, Mary Corah of Portland; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
Services with military honors were held.
