Fern Elda Wright Bangerter passed away in her sleep early Monday morning, May 31, 2010, after a battle with cancer, at the age of eighty-eight. She resided at 1304 North 400 East in Bountiful, Utah at the time of her death.
She was born in Kaysville, Utah on July 5, 1921 to William James Wright and Elda Rose Perkins.
Fern graduated from Davis High School in 1939 and married Charles White Bangerter on September 6, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Later divorced.
She was always a hard worker and until 2007 worked on her son's farm. She loved to sing, dance, bowl, golf, and travel. Her biggest enjoyment was to be with her children and grandchildren. She was active in the LDS Church and held many callings throughout her life.
Fern is survived by her children, C. Reed (Sharon) Bangerter, West Bountiful, Phil W. (Diane) Bangerter, Bountiful, Connie Bangerter, Bountiful, Bonnie (John) Tibolla, Centerville, and Alan (Diane) Bangerter, Bountiful; twenty-four grandchildren; forty-three great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Faye W. Barnett; brothers, Ray W. (Darlene) Wright and E. Dee (Marion) Wright. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister, Wanda Cunningham, brother, Roy Wright, and son, Hal Dee Bangerter.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010 in the Bountiful Nineteenth Ward Chapel, 1500 North 400 East, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. prior to the services.
Interment-Bountiful Memorial Park.
