Omaha, NE. Police Officer who died in the Line of Duty.
He and other Police Officers responded to a report of a "womam screaming" at 2870 Ohio Street in Omaha. While moving a booby trapped suitcase, it exploded killing him and inuring 7 others. He was appointed to the Police Force on 2-1-1963.

All these years later, I still remember the news accounts of officer Minard's murder while visiting my grandparents in western Iowa from Michigan during the summer of 1970. Omaha was shocked and saddened by the crime, and I will never forget it.
