Mrs. Janet Taylor Dies; Rites Tomorrow

SHARON, Pa. – Mrs. Janet Taylor, 25, of 685 Koonce Road, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday (28 October 1973) at her home, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Taylor was born Oct. 29, 1947, in Sharon, a daughter of Carl W. and Mary Swift Polonus.

She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and graduated from Hickory High School in 1965. She had been employed as a secretary for Isis Foods of Kansas City, Kan.

She leaves her father, Sharon district sales manager of Sharon Steel Corp., and her mother, at home; a brother, David Polonus, also at home; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Karen, HHS Class of '64) Maigetter of Hinsdale, Ill.; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. W. H. Swift, also at home.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Friends may call at Sample & O'Donnell Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the church.

She was 25.

Mrs Taylor was born in Sharon, October 29, 1947 to Carl and Mary Swift Polonus. Her father Carl, is the Sharon district sales manager of Sharon Steel Corp.

She was a member of St Johns Episcopal Church, Sharon.

She was graduated from Hickory High School in 1965 and was a secretary for Ises Foods at Kansas City, Kansas for four years. She returned to Sharon in 1971.

Burial; Hillcrest Cemetery, Hermitage.
