** MRS. JOHN CRUME IS BADLY BURNED **

EXPLOSION OF KEROSENE STOVE CAUSES CONSIDERABLE DANAGE INTERIOR OF CRUME HOME.

Mrs. John Crume, 45, South Whitley, suffered general body burns at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning when a kerosene stove in the kitchen of the Crume home exploded. The interior of the house was badly damaged.
Mrs. Crume's condition is considered serious. She was taken immediately to the Lutheran hospital in Fort Wayne in the Miller ambulance. Glass in doors and windows of the house was shattered and the furniture in every room in the house was badly charred and burned is almost total loss.
The South Whitley fire department, call immediately following the explosion, prevented the destruction of the frame-work of the house.

** BURNS CAUSE DEATH OF MRS. CRUME **

DEATH OF SOUTH WHITLEY WOMAN OCCURS THIS MORNING IN FORT WAYNE HOSPITAL

Mrs. John Crume, 48, South Whitley woman, who suffered general body burns Wednesday morning when a kerosene stove exploded in the kitchen of her home, died at 7:30 a.m. today at the Lutheran hospital in Fort Wayne, where she was taken immediately following the explosion,
Mrs. Crume had been a resident of Cleveland township since her marriage to Mr. Crume four years ago. Previous to that time she lived in Illinois. Surviving besides the husband are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James O. Pullin of Roseville, Ill., and the following children by former marriage; David Humphrey, Peoria, Ill,; Gene Humphrey, Elwood, Ill., Mrs. Frances Yocum, Lewiston, Ill.; and Marjory Humphrey, at home. Also surviving are five brothers and one sister.
The body was brought to the Miller Funeral Home in South Whitley,

Bertha, was the daughter of Mr & Mrs. James O. Pullin. She married her first husband ____ Humphrey in Peoria, IL. To this union were born Four children. Two sons David & Glenn Humphrey and two daughters Francis and Marjory Humphrey. She married her second husband John William Crume In 1939.
