Mary "Molly" Elizabeth Donaldson was born in Pennsylvania on Jun 5, 1842 to parents Edward Donaldson (1804-1854) born in Pennsylvania, and Eliza Steiner/Stiner (1819-1865)born in Germany.
Mary was the oldest child in a family of six known children. Her brothers and sister were: John Donaldson (ca 1845-?), Henry Donaldson (1845-1909), Robert Donaldson (ca 1848-?), Sarah Donaldson (1849-?), and Alexander Donaldson (1852-1909).
On Aug 17, August 1869, in Summit, Cambria, Pennsylvania, in St. Aloysius Gonzaga RC Church, Mary married James H.M. Bradley, born in Ireland (1843-1906). John was a son of Michael Bradley (1793-1872), and Bridget Murray (1800-1883), both born in Ireland.
James worked as a coal miner, mostly in different areas of Cambria County. They had 7 children: Annie E. Bradley-Best (1870-1903), Stella Mary Bradley-Madigan (1873-1910), Harry John Bradley (1874-1918), William James Michael Bradley, Sr. (1877-1937), Edward Thomas Bradley (1879-1944), Francis Peter Bradley (1882-1920), and Aline M. Bradley-Ball (1884-1955).
The Indiana Messenger, dated 28 July 1897: "Mrs. James Bradley, of Hastings, was instanly killed on Saturday afternoon. She was in the woods picking blackberries when a large limb was blown from a tree striking her on the head."
James and Mary are both buried in St. Bernard Cemetery in Hastings.
