Mary Caroline Criste was born in 1864 in Pennsylvania to parents Thomas Criste (1830-1885), and Ann Elizabeth Criste (1837-1922), both born in Pennsylvania.
Mary was the fifth child in a family of thirteen known children. Her brothers and sisters were: Francis W. Criste (1855-), Agnes S. Criste-Storm (1856-1924), Amanda C. Criste (1859-), Andrew J. Criste (1861-1935), 1864-1936), John G. Criste (1867-), Thomas Raymond Criste (1869-1931), Stella Criste (1873-), Sherman Criste (1875-), Eugene Criste (1877-), Olene E. Criste-Bradley (1879-1973), Ida Criste (1880-), and Vincent A. Criste (1862-1933).
In 1889, Mary married John W. Bradley (1863-1910), born in Pennsylvania. John was a son of Michael C. Bradley (1833-1900), and Bridget Kearney (1832-1899), both born in Ireland.
John and Mary settled in Cresson where John worked in the coal mines. They had ten children: Francis Howard Bradley (1890-1909), Clarence Joseph Bradley (1892-1976), Grace Mary Bradley-McDermott (1893-1969), Edgar Thomas Bradley (1897-1965), Eleanor B. Bradley-Heverly (1897-1991), Ligouri Dennis Bradley (1899-1977), Norman A. Bradley (1901-1965), Helen E. Bradley (1902-1991), Carl R. Bradley (1905-1935), and James Kenneth Peter Bradley (1907-1983), all born in Pennsylvania.
After John died in 1910, Mary remained in Cresson to raise their children. She died Jan 15, 1936 in Cresson and is buried with her husband in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
