Mary Ann "Molly" Callahan was born on Jan 14, 1870 in Cresson, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, to parents James Edward Callahan, born in Scotland (1844-1902), and Elizabeth Sarah Farren, born in Pennsylvania (1847-1931).

Molly was the oldest child in a family of eight known children. Her brothers and sisters were: Charles Callahan (ca 1872-?), Elizabeth Callahan (ca 1874-?), Priscilla A. Callahan-Muldoon (1876-1962), Ellen Callahan (ca 1879-?), Susan F. Callahan-Crum (1883-1966), James Callahan (1885-?), and John Callahan (1889-?), all born in Pennsylvania.

On Oct 14, 1890, in St. Brigid's Catholic Church in Lilly, Molly married Michael Daniel Bradley (1861-1927). Michael was a son of Patrick J. Bradley (1825-1910), and Margaret Bradley (1834-1896), both born in Ireland.

Michael and Molly settled in Washington Twp in Cambria County where Michael worked in the coal mines. This couple had ten known children: Patrick Augustine Bradley (1891-1957), James L. Bradley (1892-1940), Gerald Joseph Bradley (1895-1942), Elizabeth Mary Bradley-Kapustka-Durbin (1897-1986), Michael R. Bradley (1900-1994), Margaret Bradley-Booterbaugh (1901-1965), Susan Bradley (1904-1907), Anastasia Veronica Bradley-Nadolsky (1907-1987), Stuart P. Bradley (1909-1986), and Mildred Bradley- Booterbaugh-Pyrrhus (1911-1981), all born in Cambria County.

Their son Stuart was very talented and wrote poetry, songs, and stories of family and friends. The following was a poem he wrote about his parents:

Mother and Dad
Michael Dan married MARY Ann in a little town called Lilly
After moving around they settled down on a spot that was quite hilly
They built a home and cleared some ground
Added more to it, as each spring came around
They had ten children, as husband and wife
All are recorded in the Book of Life
After years of hard work, God took them away
But in each of us, he left a little replay.
