Charles Adams

A memorial service for Seminole native Charles Melvin "Chuck" Adams was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 at New Hope Christian Fellowship in Fairfax, Okla.

Pastor Bill Bray officiated with services under the direction of Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home, Fairfax.

Adams, 80, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007 at Stillwater Medical Center. He was born Oct. 13, 1927 in Seminole to Melvin "Tude" Adams and Lettie Irene (Oliver) Adams.

He was a longtime resident of Fairfax and received his early education in the Seminole schools.

Adams served in the U.S. Air Force as a radar operator during the Korean War. On Dec. 31, 1955 he married Vianna Dolores "Woogie" Carlie in Lindsey, Okla.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and he enjoyed golf, fishing and his cats.

His parents and one brother, Nealon Adams, preceded him in death.

Surviving is his wife of the home; one son, Mike Adams of Glencoe; one brother, Oliver Adams of Seminole; and one sister, Jeannine Murray of Midwest City.
