Rosemary Dale, 80, of Sedalia, died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Four Seasons Living Center.
She was born February 3, 1925, in Richmond, Missouri, a daughter of Cecil and Blanche Bright Farris. On July 7, 1947, in Independence, Missouri, she was married to Milton G. Dale, who survives of the home.
She attended Richmond High School and graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1943. She graduated from Central Business College in Sedalia. Mrs. Dale worked in Columbia, Missouri at MFA, and Prudential Insurance in Sedalia. She was an Orthodontic Dental Assistant for Dr. C.E. Kavanaugh for 23 years. As a Gold Star Mother, Mrs. Dale was an active participant in Veterans Day and Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremonies for 18 years. She was a long-time member of First Christian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Margaret Dale of Sedalia; two sons, William F. Dale of Sedalia, and Charles R. Dale of Houston, Texas; and one grandson, John W. Dale of Warrensburg, Missouri. She was predeceased by one son, James Milton Dale, who was killed in Vietnam, November 20, 1969.
Funeral Services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2005, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Russell Willoughby officiating. Pallbearers were Dale Anderson, Jack Blackwell, Ray Combs, John W. Dale, Frank Ellis, Jim Holman, Jess Rasmussen, and Bob Weikal. Burial was in Highland Sacred Garden. Friends called after 9 a.m. Wednesday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. There was no family visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions to First Christian Church, Children's Therapy Center, or Donor's Choice, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel of Sedalia, Missouri.
