Raymond Francis Dump, 91, of Sedalia, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Four Seasons Living Center. He was born November 14, 1913, in Springfork, a son of George Ray and Ethel M. Bluhm Dump. On November 14, 1947, in Sedalia, he was married to Anna M. Harms, who died October 15, 1997. Mr. Dump was a lifelong member of New Bethel United Methodist Church, where he served in many roles throughout the years. He was on the boards of New Bethel Cemetery and Point Pleasant Cemetery. He worked as an operating engineer for Sedalia Water Department before retiring. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 134th Medical Battalion. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and taking care of his flowers. He was a lifelong resident of Sedalia. Surviving are a son, Harold L. Dump, and his wife, Patty, of Calhoun; a daughter, Carol Perkins, of Sedalia; a brother, James E. Dump, of Versailles; five grandchildren, Kevin Perkins, Melessia Brauer, Charla Hinkle, Harold L. Dump II, and Jennifer Dump; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Joann Keele officiating. Pallbearers were Russell Harbit, Doyle Hendrickson, Frank Maltsbarger, Bill
Arnold, Dean Peters and Fred Brownfield. Friends called after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family
received friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to New Bethel United Methodist Church or New Bethel Cemetery.
