Barbara J. Klauza, 68, of Clinton Township and formerly of Port Huron and Flat Rock, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at Shelby Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 16, 1937, in Detroit to Eleanore Klimball Klauza & Stanley Klauza.
Mrs. Klauza worked as an underwriter in the insurance industry. She was a member of the Women's Insurance Association. She was active at St. Roch Catholic Church, where she was a lector, Eucharistic minister and member of the senior citizens group. She enjoyed participating in activities with her friends at St. George Tower.
She is survived by her sister, Carol Szuba; stepchildren, Joe Klauza and Jodi Jones; and nephews, Frank and Philip Szuba. She was predeceased by her husband of 24 years, Marvin.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes, Sterling Heights, with the Rev. Galos officiating.
Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Flat Rock.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Monday at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield, Clinton Township. Additional visitation is 10:30-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
