Opal Blackshere Higgins, 102, of Little Rock, formerly of Van Buren, died Monday, September 26 1994 in a Little Rock nursing home.
She was born to Earl and Minnie Jamison Blackshere.
She was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Eastern Star Esther Chapter No. 217, and a homemaker.
She was the widow of Rex Higgins.
She was survived by two daughters, Mary C. Wallace and Betty Jane Robinson, both of Little Rock; three sisters, Thelma Murphy of Hutchinson, Kansas, Rosetta Annis of Oklahoma City, and Doleretta Chambers of Arkansas City, Kansas; a brother Earl Blackshere of Arkansas City, Kansas and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Forest Park Cemetery.
