Pensioners: Holloway, Lewis, Wing, Illinois, Wounded right hand, injury to abdomen, disease of heart and lungs, $8.00 monthly pay as of Oct. 1880 for service in Civil War.
He is my second great grand uncle. Both his parents died the same day of cholera, leaving small children behind. The year was 1849, and the children were farmed out, and split up. The family has been hard to trace because of this.
