My maternal GGGG Grandfather~~Soldier of the Revolution

Son of Henry Perrine II and was a Fourth Generation descendant of Daniel Perrin, "The Huguenot," who came to America from France.

Joseph married Elizabeth Wikoff/Wyckoff on June 20, 1771 at Cranbury, Middlesex, New Jersey.

Joseph was a weaver by occupation.

He is documented by the DAR as serving throughout the Revolutionary War.

Children born to this union were Martha, Eleanor, Elizabeth, James, Anna, Arthur and Ralph. Ralph is my GGG Grandfather.

Joseph was christened on January 3, 1749 in New Jersey.

He served as a Private in the NJ Tr and State Militia, and he served 7 years in the Army. His descendants were DAR/SAR approved in 1929.

DAR record reads: "PERRINE, JOSEPH, (Clermont Co.)
Pvt in NJ Tr and State Mil. Served 7 yrs in army. Br 1748, Cranbury, NJ.

Parents: Henry Perrine. Married Elizabeth Wyckoff in 1771 in N.J.

"Joseph is buried in Bethel Ohio, and came to Williamsburg Township, Clermont County Ohio in 1805. Settled on Barne's Run in Williamsburg Township after arriving from New Jersey."

"Joseph Perrine settled on a farm of 100 acres, which was his home until his death, in 1823. He had served seven years in the struggle for American independence, and was a brave man. Besides James he had sons named Arthur and Ralph, and four daughters, who married, Martha, Isaac Dye; Eleanor, Joseph Holman; Elizabeth, John Gill; and Ann, Andrew Hickey. The latter two were also among the pioneers."
