Dorothy K. (Green) Williamson) Wildman, age 82 of Danbury, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the Danbury Hospital following a long battle with heart disease. She was the wife of the late Milne M. Williamson, and the late Charles G. Wildman. Dottie was born October 20, 1926 in Stamford, the daughter of the late Alfred E. Sr. and Viola (Allen) Green. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Hawley Construction Co., and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Danbury. Dottie loved life, her family and friends, and will best be remembered for her enthusiasm and positive attitude. Dottie is survived by her children, Debra (Williamson) Lajoie and her husband, David Lajoie, and Gary Williamson and his wife, Kathleen (Coak-ley) Williamson; her five grandchildren, Danielle Lajoie, Douglas Lajoie, Karen Williamson and D'Arcy Smith, Tammy Williamson and Owen Zanzel, Kelly (Williamson) and Jamie Ascone; one great-grandson, James Ascone; two brothers, Alfred Green Jr. and William Green; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of Dottie's friends who helped her to maintain her positive outlook and independence. Our thanks to Susan Tomanio and all of her friends at the Danbury Senior Center, the AARP, and the Lions Club Low Vision Support Group. The family would also like to recognize the medical community who supported Dottie during this time, especially Dr. Gary Yacono, Dr. Robert Jarrett, Regional Hospice, and Danbury Hospital. Requiem Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 4, 2009 at St. James Episcopal Church, Danbury at 11 am. Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends in the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury Sunday from 4 thru 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we would ask that you consider supporting one of the following organizations in Dottie's memory, The Danbury Senior Center Prime Timers Inc. 10 Elmwood Place, Danbury CT 06810, Regional Hospice of Western CT, 405 Main Street, Danbury, CT 06810 or the Danbury Hospital Development Fund, 24 Hospital Ave., Danbury CT 06810.
