Born in Sarver, Aug. 4, 1954. Ross was the son of Wendell L Ross and Yvonne G McClure Ross Sr.
He was employed by the Freeport Brick Company in Creithton. He attended the Grace Methodist Church, Natrona Heights. He was a graduate of Freeport Area High School in 1972, and had been a member of the high school football team.
Upon graduation he entered the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was discharged as a Private First Class on December 20, 1973.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Wendell Ross Sr.; two sisters, Mrs. James (Debbie) Weibel of Sarver and Kathy Ross at home; four brothers, Harry A Ross in the Rehabilitation Center in Johnstown, Pa., Alan J., Ronald R., and Robert M. all at home; and his maternal grandmother Mrs. Jean McClure of Buffalo Township.

ROSS - - Friends of Wendall L. Ross Jr. of 198 Parker Road, Sarver, Buffalo Township, who died Saturday, February 23, 1974, will be received at the Charles D. Fullerton Funeral Home, 324 Fourth St., Freeport from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday and Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesdayfrom the funeral home with the Rev. Robert H Cairns, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, Natrona Heights, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Arrangements by Fullerton.

Enlisted in the US Marine Corps on 11 July 1972 in Pittsburgh, PA and was honorably discharged on 20 December 1973 in San Francisco, CA.
