Henry B. Hahn, 82, who for many years headed the Hahn Bros. Co., wholesale fruit and vegetable company, and who spent a number of years farming, died suddenly at his home, 900 West Fourth street, at 12:10 p.m. after a week's illness.
Mr. Hahn, a lifelong resident of this community, was born in Muscatine on March 27, 1865, the son of John and Ann Gertenbach Hahn. He married Matilda Ann Maurer on Jan. 14, 1892 at Wilton. Mr. Hahn was an active member of the First Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife, five sons, Harry E., Walter R., Fred L., Robert H., and H. Bernard, all of Muscatine, three daughters, Mrs. Esther M. Moulton of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Viola A. Hoffman of Muscatine, and Miss Florence I. Hahn, of Albion, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Knight of Muscatine, Mrs. Bert Childs of Los Angeles and Miss Ida Hahn of Muscatine, and 13 grandchildren.
The body is at the Fairbanks Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be announced later.
