Loving wife of Floyd William Lorimer. Also, my great aunt whom I loved very much. She is the one who got me into genealogy. I miss her terribly.

Obituary
Glenadine Elizabeth Lorimer. 82, the daughter of Dean and Lena (Wade)
Appleby, was born Nov. 28,1920, at Formoso. She died Nov. 6, 2003 at the
Brodstone Memorial Hospital, Superior. She was the youngest in an extended
family of nine children.
She attended Hawthorne Country School and completed three years of high
school in Formoso. She graduated from the prep School on the Eugene Campus of
University of Oregon, and later graduated from Brown-Mackie Business College,
Salina. She worked in business offices in Hutchinson, Hays and Holton before
coming to Superior. In Superior she worked for Nebraska Public Power District
for 23 years and five years for the Superior Public Library.
On Nov. 8.1942, she married Floyd W. Lorimer, Jr., in the Fort Leavenworth
Chapel, Leavenworth.Kan. They lived in Columbus, Georgia, and Lincoln, Neb.,
during World War II. They later lived in Hays, Sterling and Holton, moving to
Superior in 1966 when her husband's business transferred him to the local
theater.
She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church teaching Sunday
School and actively serving on numerous committees. She was also actively
involved, holding many offices in Business and Professional Women, Nuckolls
County Genealogical Society, the Parliamentarians, the Nuckolls County Cancer
Association, along with AARP.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Floyd, in 1980; her parents; six
brothers, Howard,Milford and Lynn Appleby, Kenneth, Henry and John Fuller, along
with two sisters. Ethel Appleby Carey and Eloise Fuller Baird. She is survived
by two daughters, Mrs. Robert Dye, (Katherine),Beatrice; Mrs. Bruce Kronberg,
(Debra), Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren.
Services were at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, with the
Dorthea Fairbanks officiating.
- Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery Superior,
