GEORGE W. ADAMS, former resident of Hagerstown, died suddenly Friday, afternoon in Jersey City, aged 68.
He had been a resident of Jersey City for the past 36 years, and for the past 34 years had been employed as a fireman by the Pennsylvania railroad there.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Lane Adams; son, George R., daughter, Mrs. Robert Alexander, all of Jersey City; brother, Roy, York, Pa.; sister, Mrs. George F. Schaeffer, Baltimore.
Funeral services will be held at the Schlemm funeral home, Jersey City. Further services will be held at the Grove funeral home, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Elbert Wilson. Interment in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
