George Lineker, 82, of Seabeck passed away Sept. 20, 2008.
He was born to George Albert and Kate Lineker on March 31, 1926, in Reading, PA. George graduated from The Hill School in Pottstown, PA, and the University of Maryland.
On March 17, 1966, George married Priscilla White in Baltimore, MD.
He served in the US Army from 1946 to 1977, retiring as an Infantry Colonel. He later attended the Virginia Theological Seminary and became an Episcopal priest. He was rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wellsboro, PA, for 18 years, retiring in 1993.
George was preceded in death by his sister, Verna. He is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla; sister, Virginia of Wilmington, DE; children, Jimmy Lineker and wife Rose, Melanie Reeder (Bill), Herb Lineker (companion Dee), Phoebe Casasanta (Mark), Beverly Lineker, Les Lineker (companion Ruth), Amanda Holmes (Frank) and Bert Lineker (companion Hao); 16 grandchildren[ and 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be today, September 25th, at 1 p.m. at St. Antony's Episcopal Church in Silverdale. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Antony's Episcopal Church.
