Beloved husband, father, grand-father and friend passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born to Robert Edwin Bartlett, Sr. and Willa Jaskey Bartlett on Oct. 14, 1924, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bob graduated from East High School, served in the US Navy in World War II for three years, majored in Electrical Engineering at the U of U. Bob became responsible for the family's business, Bartlett Electric, after his father's unexpected death. Bob served as NECA President and also owned several Radio Shack franchises. Bob married Lavon Laura Sadler on October 10, 1946, in the Salt Lake Temple and together they have five daughters. Bob was a kind, loving husband and father who was active in the LDS church. He dedicated his time and resources and served in many church positions. Bob had a zest for life and enjoyed taking his family boating, camping, fishing, hunting, dirt biking, target practice, racquetball and flying his small airplane. He continued to bike and ski into his 70's and 80's. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Lavon, his loving daughters Laura, Peggy (Michael), Kristine (David), Anita (Craig), Janet (James), his brother, John Lowell Bartlett, 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bill and infant sister, Ruth. A viewing will be held from 6-8 pm Sunday evening, November 28, 2010, at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rodeo Lane Chapel, 6350 South Rodeo Lane (1545 East), SLC, UT, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn. Messages and tributes to the family can be posted at: www.holbrookmortuary.com For those attending the viewing and/or funeral, please do not wear any scented or perfumed products due to severe asthma.
